Use of grains improved in the animal feeding
Dear readers and colleagues.
I have wide experience in the use of grains with increased nutritious value (value-enhanced grains) with high value in proteina, energia and aminoacidos, derivado of the variety of corn opaque-2.
Corn Nutridense
Corn supercede
Corn HOC (high in fat).
I have carried out several experiments in R.Dominicana, interesting that can share with you.
With the use of these varieties that you/they are not genetically modified GMO, he/she decreases cost of the food and better acting of the animals.

some years Ago. I had the opportunity to evaluate a variety of corn with the opaque-2 incorporate it was a white corn and one of their inconveniences was that the endosperma was very floury and soft making it susceptible to mechanical damages and for insects in the storage, and of equal it forms one could also observe a drop in the mill yield for losses for the high powder generation, as well as an increment in the time of mill. Which is the consistency of the two varieties that he/she mentions? How does the yield walk in the field?

With the HOC in diets for chickens of it puts on weight, personally I have had a very good experience in the whole production cycle of these. I could not evaluate real costs since the corn it came from a donation and we didn't have access to the real price. How does the cost walk with relationship to the hybrid ones commercial? How does it manage the energy component in the finalización stage in pigs to avoid an increment in the dorsal fat?

I will be attentive to their comments.

Cordially,

Gerardo Murillo

The two varieties
1) NUTRIDENSE (BASF)
2) SUPERCEDE (DOW AGROSCIENCES)

They are varieties improved through genetic crossings they are not trangénicos.
The cost is from 12 to 14 more than the corn #2, but it contains more energy, protein and amino acids that the corn #2. This compensates the biggest price and it reduces the cost for ton of food in 2 to 3 dollars. These varieties are of small grains with smaller hardness that the corn #2, the yield of the mill is high. The digestibilidad of the nutrients is higher than the corn #2 and the HOC.
At the moment, I am production manager in the company Chickens Veganos in R. Dom., we use NUTRIDENSE for 5 to 6 months, the results were interesting:
-decrease of the nutritious conversion.
-minor use of fat.
-minor use of synthetic amino acids.
-minor use of H. Soya.
I have the informations of Two Experiments that I carried out before beginning their use, I can be sent it if he/she wants them.

Hello. I really answer because it interests me the topic, but the feeding that I manage it is for rural families, it doesn't stop commercial production.
For what we manage there are not differences in the corn... it seems strange, on behalf of an engineer... but it is this way... people's lack.
The moment will arrive, for the time being CORN, SOYA AND ATTACHÉS.

Hello to all the participants of the forum.
I want to thank Mr. Joaquín's observations Paulino, on the grains improved in animal feeding. I would like to know more envelope those results that you have... to go evaluating some parameters.
Mr. Paulino, would thank him to send me those data. I am in Santiago, RD and I am dedicated to the smallest species. I would like to maintain the contact with you to clear some restlessness. Please, you can to send me I contact.

Dear Foristas, we have published those trabajos technicians mentioned by the Ing. Joaquín Paulino carried out in Republic Of the Dominican Republic with dense corn in nutritious: Nutridense of Basf Plant science Nutrition Dep. and Supercede of Dow Agrosciences.

Debemos to make the aclararación that at the moment the same ones are published in English language, until point we can translate them to Spanish.

Comparison of nutrient gives you corn nutritionally enhanced grain and no.2 yellow corn for broilers in the Dominican Republic

Comparison of Supercede nutritionally enhanced grain and Not. 2 Yellow Corn for Broilers in the Dominican Republic

DEAR FRIENDS: I am Alicia Noemí Orrea, I am Engineer Agr. and I am in in route to being Engineer Zootecnista. Also, I am specialist in handling and postcosecha of grains. With regard to the corns transgénicos, I don't see why these are not good for the one it puts on weight of animals, this of being transgénicos doesn't influence in the feeding of the animals. If somebody has an opinion contrary to mine, I would like to be able to appreciate it. If they need my services, they don't have more than to be contacted. Thank you and THAT he/she SURRENDERS THEM THE CROP!!!!!!

Alicia,
I agree with your opinion, the grains transgénicos can be used in animal nutrition, but they are prohibited in Europe and other countries by the risk in the transfer of genes in the human health.

do I find very interesting what you/they are outlining, but it is not that in fact the grains non OGM is more expensive than they are not it? In all ways, the OGM is proven that they don't cause damage to the health, the against that he/she has settled down toward them is solely pure commercial question. First they threw this type of grains and doesn't a great part of the world want them now, it is not too suggestive? Equally, the world population increases in geometric form and you/he/she is necessary to feed her, so the OGM is and they will be of great help.
My question to the colleagues is: how do they act in front of the micotoxinas, and in what situation are they at the moment in front of them?

Joaquín, wanted to know to what genes that can be transferred the humans refer. It interests me your opinion, and if you have works on the micotoxinas.
Thank you.

it has arisen Me another restlessness: is it proven scientifically the transfer of genes to the human beings as you comments? It would be good to deepen in this topic. Thank you.

Alicia,
He/she has not been proven scientifically that it happens a transfer of a plant gene to human. It exists fear that it can happen, for that reason many countries restrict their use. As for micotoxina, aluminosilicato, bentonitas and polymers like the Mycosrb exist, etc. that you/they catch the main micotoxinas. P. e.g. aflatoxinas, micotoxina t2, and others. But it is necessary to inhibit the growth of mushrooms with the antihongo use. P. e.g. sour propiónico, etc.
