The bore or alocasia like supplement proteinico

Hello, friends porcicultores.
Estoy feeding pigs with non conventional foods that it is the only form of making profitable this business in a country like Colombia (that it cares corn and soya).
Mi farm is in the Quindio–Colombia. There it is very cheap and easy to buy or to cultivate products like the banana, yucca, ahuyama, corn, cane, but good, where the proteínas?
Por is I have given myself to it to the task of investigating on products for supplement proteico like the quiebrabarriga and the bore (alocasia), azolla.
Me has called the attention a lot the bore to feed pigs: in their leaf he/she brings 25 protein%.

Hello. Regarding their restlessness on the BORE, I comment him that in Corpoica they have advanced studies especially on this cultivation that has thrown good results, in the production in all the stages of the pig. Me personally advance in my property located in San José of I Stopped (Boyacá) a cultivation of this species, and my goal is to arrive to 7000 plants with cubrimiento of approximately one there is. If somebody wants it, I am in capacity of giving the seed.

as for the topic I can contribute them that the bore contains toxins that are harmful for the animals but these toxins can be eliminated subjecting the bore to high temperatures. I am making studies about this to make a diet for pigs and other animals where the bore is the main ingredient.
if you have information about the bore I would like them to send it to me.

the Alocasia macrorrhiza contains oxolatos of calcium which are irritating and presence of tannins also exists which can be eliminated by means of the cooking.
this doesn't mean that the cultivation is bad but rather it should be administered since with a lot of caution in some moment it can cause some irritation to the animals, in a part he/she says: ...el latex that sprouts once cut the leaves and the shaft contains oxolatos that are those that produce the irritations. I think that when giving the bore to the animals it should be left in rest so that this whole latex comes out and be not so harmful, we should also keep in mind that the pigs are monogastricos and they eat therefore of all these substances they are not so harmful for them. your that you say?

The bore alocasia macrorriza is not true that contains toxinas,como somebody ,tambien he/she said it is said that it contains oxasalatos of calcium what makes it irritating for people and animal ,pero that these oxasalatos is eliminated by means of the cooking in water which should be discarded when cocido.Al is served to subject it to high temperatures they are not eliminated I eat for example to dehydrate it in the sun or with any type of calor.Personalmente I have used it in human feeding in form of cocido,colada,fritos,bebida fria,torta and otros.Para animals I have used it in pigs and birds in especial,suministrando the leaf that is where bigger quantity of protein contains and additionally the shaft in fresco,esto is crudo.El 16 of set/bre of 2004 in the regional Sign of Mosquera Cundinamarca(Col)se I carry out an event with reason of the launching of the program to UNDERTAKE of the Presidency of the Republic and there he/she offered this product for its tasting having wide acogida.Igualmente The professor and doctor of Coarse last name of Corpoica in the year 1995 I publish a book on their field investigations it has more than enough uses and uses of the Bore in the feeding of the pig that you carries out in the experimental farm of Fusagasuga with excellent resultados.Este booklet they can obtain it in Corpoica Tibaitata.

I am porcicultor for more than 20 years, and I also lend technical attendance to many porcicultores more than the area where I work. My experience with the handling of the bore has been very beneficial, especially in the part of the sows gestantes. But a restrictive one exists for the leaf volumes for animal that you/they should be given daily, it has been worked with different suplementación types. 1kgr, 3kgr, 7kgrs,10kgrs/animal/día, obtaining the best results with 7kgrs/animal/día, existing restrictive important as they are very big areas of cultivation to replace the production necessities in medium or big exploitations. Also the use of bigger quantity of manpower, gathering and dive, are of clarifying that so that the cultivation is productive and profitable, a degree of appropriate security should be managed (porquinaza) and high levels of humidity for a better productive yield. The periods of court were also analyzed (30, 45, 60 days), giving as a result to the 45 days the best yield in volume and quality of the protein aprox 18. A recommendation that I can give is the one of only to use the leaves and its petioles, not the shaft or trunk, since its nutritious value is smaller (protein of the 4 at the 6 approximately), and the period of recovery of the plant when using the shaft is very slow, of 2 á 3 years to arrive to the maximum forage production. Any restlessness to communicate, also for the attainment of the seed.

Hello. In these moments I am developing a system of deep bed in my property, to carry out the one he/she gets up and it feeds of pigs. I have thought to give them a concentrate of nutritional contained first floor, and suplementarlo with bore and chopped cane. Somebody could give an idea of what relationship I should use, or what they find the idea!!! Thank you.

I believe that you should think on the contrary, you should give a concentrate with high nutritious value, at least of a 18 of protein, and at least 3400 k/calorías, of this concentrate at least suplementar 1.5 kg/animal/día, and suplementar with bore leaf to reason of 7 minimum kg/animal/día, the cane of sugar 1 should be given to 2 kg/animal/día with caution, since the quality of the fiber of the cane accelerates the step of the nutrients in the digestive tract, and it also produces the fall of the teeth and molars in the animals.

Thank you, its information will be I of a lot of help, but if I use a concentrate of good nutritional level, and also the supplement with bore that has a high protein level, would not be exposed to an acidosis, and in the relationship of cane bore he/she had thought to give more energy (cane) that protein (bore), although for what tells me it should look for another source of additional energy to give the enough energy to mobilize the contributed protein.
