The results that they were observed in five lots of 25 animals each one it was very favorable, they finished with 95-100 kg of weight in 4.5 months with earnings average of weight of 0.895 kg/dia. He/she decreased in 95 the fly the same as the scents, and the handling, there was not necessity to wash and it was sold compostaje of pig manure like gain adicinal.
Greetings

jaime thank you for your answer and to share your results with me, additional to your information I want to know that dimension (area) of the facilities (galpon) that type of troughs and drinking troughs are used for this sistama type and that feeding received. the truth saw unh I articulate for the magazine the porcicultor and my name is a lot the attention. another thing to that age passes to the system of deep bed and all the information that you can give me. thank you

thank you

At the moment I am looking at alternatives on the handling of the pigs for he/she gets up and do put on weight, does the deep bed apparently have several advantages but the restlessness that I have it is if in warm climates it doesn't generate a lot of heat for the animal?

HERE there is SOMETHING ON THE SYSTEM OF DEEP BED:

This system is native from the China and adopted in Europe from 1980. It is based in fattening pigs using facilities of second use as galpones of birds, cellars, stables, etc. next to this, using beds of absorbent material for not producing waste outside of the galpón, so much solid as liquid, some of these materials can be wheat straw, straw of oat, coronta of corn, shell of rice, sand or chopped paper (1,4).
When the lot of pigs is retired to another stage, the bed in compostaje form is used as payment diminishing the use of chemical fertilizers, increasing the load of organic material to the floor, contributing this way to the natural cycle without attacking the environment (1).
To structure the system of deep bed it is necessary to consider different such factors as the ventilation that is it criticizes, since the temperature at level of the bed is a little high with relationship to the environment the size of the galpón and the density, the surface, the bed, the quality of this is important to maintain the absorption of liquids and the health of the pigs the water and the food, handling of lots and sanitary aspects (1, 4,5).
Intervening the previous factors is sought to receive the biggest benefits in the system, among many he/she is the control on the population of flies, since the heat that generates the composition of the bed avoids the development of larvas in the production of gases, the system offers smaller production of NH3 and bigger than NH2, that which reduces problem of scents.
In the well-being of the animal it influences diminishing the situations of anxiety or estrés of the same one, because the expression of its natural behavior is preserved, diminishing this way physical lesions and illnesses because of the estrés.
Having less interactions in the handling of the system subjects the pig to a better comfort, guaranteeing a great reduction to the liberation of microorganisms patógenos to their meats, generating a good nutritious security to the consumer (1, 4,5).
Between some advantages and disadvantages he/she spends to mention the first floor investment cost in facilities, bigger comfort of the animals, allowing a better expression of their behavior, smaller consumption of water, use of the bed for their agricultural use, decrease of the expression of bad habits, decrease of flies and scents, decrease of the mortality, improves in the uniformalidad of the lot, better meat quality due to a bigger activity of the cells muscular, bigger portion consumption, the nutritious conversion increases lightly, I increase in the manpower necessity for the handling of the bed, big necessities of vegetable material to be used in the bed, bigger ventilation necessity, demands a good sanitary level of facility.
This system assists the concept of green production (1).

Fabio, thank you for your answer. I see that you have an excellent literature in this respect. He/she wanted you to index me some texts. Thank you.

it is not so much an answer, is an application of information for all the participants of the forum, and it is the following one:

The system of deep bed one can make with the manure of any animal to provide to other animals.

Ej: if I make a system of deep bed with caprinaza, I can give it to the caprinos or ovinos, using the husk of rice.

Thank you for the information.

Hello. Would I like to know if in this system it is necessary to eliminate the grounds to newspaper, or is it made at the end of the cycle?

The bed should not be composed by grounds of other species, it is used chip, cane trash, husk of rice, etc.
This is good for the whole cycle, because if he/she stays a good density of animals, these maintain a dirty area and a dry one, for what is not necessary to move away the manure but until the end, in some parts the bed is recycled after a disinfection process, using it until for 3 cycles. This is not advisable when pathologies are presented in the animals. Ideal density: 1.4m for animal.

Hello, I am Luis Diaz I am interested in producing pigs of it feeds with the system of deep bed, but I don't have information in this respect I would like he/she knows that it is this that is used and like it is used. I thank their collaboration in this topic

For foristas:

Another methodology is to use chip in the floor, but that the animals have a higher floor, that is to say, a floor of grills or mesh, without the mesh plays the chip bed, he/she decreases this way then the pasasitismo. And the waste of the bed is also used like organic payment, and until to create gas methane.
It is hour of returning to the medioambiente what corresponds him.
