Pelcon

Silicate based pellet binder.

The addition of Pelcon to mash feed allows higher conditioning temperature. The results in better gelatinization of starch and higher quality , more durable pellets.
Pelcon absorbs up to 1.3 times moisture its own weight, allowing greater moistening from steam . This alters the mill chokepoint so higher temperatures can be used in the pelleting process. Pellets produced from pelcon are better than pellets produced from Lignin, in durability and quality.
