In the early eighties Radar Automation was set up as an autonomous software division of a leading Belgian premix manufacturer. Since 1998 Radar Automation has been a company in its own right, whose key activity is the development of vertical automation solutions for the compound feed sector. Radar Automation has designed standard software modules for the automation of the various administrative, operational, logistic and scientific tasks that are inherent to the compound feed sector. Each of these packages can be put to work individually. The modules have been assembled into three packages: Operra for the management of purchasing, supply, trading and cost-price calculation of raw materials. Libra for optimisation and quality control, and Integra for the management of production and commercial functions. The core of all these applications is one single Oracle database, which secures the integration of the diverse functions. The three software packages may thus be considered the building blocks of Radar Automation’s comprehensive concept.
