Re: News - Measuring Ammonia Emissions from Swine Barns

Dear colleague,
It might be of interest to repeat the experiments partly and also include differences in pH of the urine. E.g what will be the ammonia emission at pH levels of the urine of 7.0 6.5 6.0 5.5 and 5.0?

To reduce the ammonia concentration compounds might be added that inactivate the production of urease by bacteria.

Best regards,

Dr. Cor J.M. Arts
