Mycotoxin testing service Sampling is extremely important in mycotoxin control. The customer sending samples for mycotoxin testing is responsible for a representative sampling procedure. Of course we see it as our duty to offer consultancy in this regard. Basically, two aspects need to be considered during sampling: the low concentrations at which mycotoxins are present and active as well as the inhomogeneous distribution and the formation of so called “hot spots” by the mycotoxin producing fungi. Based on those two facts it is important to pay attention to sampling and homogenization.
In the case of mycotoxins with existing regulatory limits sampling and homogenization procedures are explained in the commission regulation (EC 401/2006). On request we could provide a copy of this text.
In case of not grinded material a representative sample of approx. 2kg should be submitted. In case of grinded material approx. 1kg is sufficient.
Solutions for special questions in mycotoxin determination
We are pleased to announce that we can offer binder studies: Incubate a certain amount of mycotoxin binder product at a defined pH in a solution containing defined concentrations of certain mycotoxins and determine adsorption rates.
Other Analyses:
Based on our strong network of subcontractors we are able to provide analysis for:
• Pesticides (polar and non polar)
• Antibiotics
• GMO
• Heavy metals
