DESCRIPTION

Polymyxin B in oral and injectable solution.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES

Polymyxin B is a polypeptidic antibiotic primarily used for resistant gram negative infections. Polymyxins bind to the cell membrane and alter its structure making it more permeable. The resulting water uptake leads to cell death.

Specially useful in the fight against Salmonella, Pseudomona, E. coli, Shigella, Proteus, Pasteurella, Klebsiella, Bordetella and Enterobacter.

INDICATIONS AND SPECIES

Intended for pigs, sheep, goats and cattle in the treatment of: diarrheas in young animals (oral administration, colibacilosis, pneumoenteritis, pneumonia, salmonellosis, metritis, pasteurellosis, coliform mastitis, M.M.A. Syndrome.
