fluorescent Meat?
Hello, how's it going. I am student of Veterinary Medicine and Zootecnia. It happens that I bought meat in fillet (beefsteak) of pig in a butcher shop of common market. Because I keep it in the refrigerator around half-day. In the night, one of the fillets presented an intense fluorescent green color, but it was only perceived in the darkness. Does somebody have some similar experience? Because he/she really got a lot me the attention. What does it rot to be?
Please, write. Ahead of time thank you.

Hello. My name is Carlos, and I am a veterinary doctor from Venezuela. That color owes to a bacteria. The place where you bought it it should be inspected, besides that it should be taken into account the whole commercialization chain. Here in Venezuela we don't have the presence of that bacteria, but is the sanitary verdict partially of seizure.

Thank you, Carlos, but which is the name of the bacteria, since I have looked for, and don't I find anything?

Hello, Luis. In fluorescent meat, several involved bacterias exist, as: micrococus fluoresens, luminous fotobacterium. These are the most frequent. He/she asks in the butcher shop from where that meat comes.
