Characteristics: It is Tartrate of kitasamycin. It is white or yellowish powder, inodorous, has a mildly bitter flavor, and is very soluble in water, methanol, alcohol, but is not soluble in acetone or monochloromethane.

Pharmacologic action:

Belonging to the macrolide antibiotic, its antibacterial activity is similar to tylosin, erythromycin, spiramycin and oleandomycin. The mode of action is to inhibit the protein synthesis process. Its inhibition spectrum includes Mycoplasmas, Gram-positive bacteria, some Gram-negative bacteria, Leptospira, Rickettsia. It also inhibits most bacteria resistant to penicillin, oxytetracycline, chlortetracycline, erythromycin and chloramphenicol bacteria strains.
Kitasamycin is well absorbed by oral, and the maximum absorption of the drug will reach 2hours after used. Then it will spread in liver, lung, kidney and muscle, it will be excreted by liver and gall system, the content of this drug in bile and feces is much higher than any other parts. A little of this drug will be excreted by kidney.

Indication:
Kitasamycin is mainly used to prevent and treat the infection of Gram-positive bacteria and Mycoplasma gallinarum in poultry and pigs. It also can be used to prevent and treat the dysentery caused by Perfringens. So it can promote the growth of poultry and pigs.

Usage and dosage:
Mixed with the water directly in 1 L:
Poultry: 250-500mg (25-500 ten thousand IU of kitasamycin), continuously use for 3-5days.

Precaution:
It cannot be used during the laying period.

Withdrawal Period: 7 days ( poultry).

Packing: 20kg/drum

Storage: Preserve in well-closed, and dry containers.

Validity Duration: 2 years
