Mettler Toledo Halogen drier HB43-S
The Mettler drier HB43-S, uses a halogen bulb as a drier, is used for standardised dry matter determination. It is easy to operate and has a robust construction which makes it ideal for use in a production environment. The flat surface and good access to the sample chamber make the drier easy to clean. The display is clear and easily legible, even in darkness. The user is guided very simply through the structured menu of dry matter determination by the large, clearly designed buttons.
The drier is fully automatic and displays the percentage of dry matter after 15 to 20 minutes, for example of by-products without the need for calculations by the user. The halogen bulb evaporates the moisture without burning the product. This ensures accurate dry matter determination. The drier continuously measures the weight loss of the product. If the weight remains constant over several measurements, then this means that all the moisture has evaporated. The measurement then stops automatically and the percentage of dry matter appears immediately on the screen.
The following parameters should be adjusted for accurate measurement of by-products:
-previously adjusted time or automatic ending of the measurement.
-temperature (from 50 to 200ºC).
-printer interval (if a printer is connected).
