DESCRIPTION

Oxytetracycline in injectable solution.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES

Oxytetracycline is a natural tetracycline with a wide spectrum that is quickly absorbed after its intramuscular injection (30 minutes). Its diffusion and tissular penetration is good. After four hours its maximum concentration is reached and the antibiotic activity is maintained for 36- 48 hours. It is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that inhibits the bacterial protein synthesis at ribosome level.

INDICATIONS AND SPECIES

Intended for pigs, sheep, goats and cattle in the treatment of:
- Pigs: pneumonia, diarrhoea, mastitis, pasteurellosis, rhinitis, metritis and actinobacillosis.
- Sheep and goats: pneumonia, chlamydiosis, mastitis, metritis, footrot and actinobacillosis.
- Cattle: pneumonia, diarrhoea, mastitis, metritis, omphalitis and actinobacillosis.
