DESCRIPTION

Sodium ampicillin, erythromycin, polymixin, bromexine and guaiacol in soluble powder.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES

AMTEVET PLUS is a synergetic combination of ampicillin, erythromycin, polymyxin, bromexine and vitamin C with the following effects:

Belonging to the group of beta-lactam antibiotics, ampicillin is able to penetrate Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria: Salmonella, Shigella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Pasteurella and Haemophillus. It inhibits the bacterial cell wall synthesis, which ultimately leads to cell lysis.

Erythromycin is a macrolid antibiotic that is quickly absorbed orally and diffused in tissues and blood fluids. Is it eliminated through the kidney and bile. Its action is linked to the protein synthesis and it is active against Staphylococcus, Mycoplasma, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium and Clostridium.

Polymyxin, on the other hand, is a bactericide active specially against Salmonella, Pseudomona, Shigella, Streptomycin, Haemophillus and Aerobacter by oral route. The effect of polymyxin is synergetic with penicillins.

Bromexine is a mucolytic agent that decreases the viscosity of mucous secretions by fragmentation of mucopolysaccharides reducing the disulphur bonds.

Guaiacol is an organic volatile expectorant is eliminated at bronchial level and that helps to eliminate the mucus.

INDICATIONS AND SPECIES

Intended for poultry in the treatment of: mycoplasmosis, coriza, colibacilosis, salmonellosis, streptoccocias and staphyloccocias.
