Euthanase®

Injectable Solution
Euthanasic

FORMULA: Sodium Phentobarbital 39 g, sodium phenytoin 5 g, excipients q.s. ad 1 mL.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS: Quick, ethic and painless euthanasia, for dogs, cats and other minor species. Sodium phentobarbital administered by intravenous route, produces a quick anesthetic effect. At high doses, it produces depression of respiratory and motor-vascular medullary centers. Sodium diphenylhydantoin administered by intravenous route, produces toxic signs of cardiovascular collapse and/or depression of nervous system. Hypotension is produced when the product is administered rapidly.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Canines: 1 mL for each 5 kg of weight. Felines: 0,3 mL for each kg of weight. Intravenous administration is rapid (10 seconds); for small animals like puppies, roedents and birds, the intraperitoneal route is recommended. The intracardiac route can be used when the endovenous route is impracticable.
