The NKBIOTECH One Step Chloramphenicol Test device is a rapid test to qualitatively detect the presence of Chloramphenicol in specimens at the sensitivity of 0.3ppb/0.1ppb.The NANKAI Chloramphenicol Residue Rapid Inspection Device is a rapid, one step test for the qualitative detection of Chloramphenicol in milk samples. The whole time of assay is only approx. 15min.
The basis of the test is the antigen-antibody reaction. The one step test device is a competitive immunoassay in which the detector reagent consists of colloidal gold particles coated with affinity purified anti-Chloramphenicol antibodies. The capture reagent in the assay is a Chloramphenicol-protein conjugate, which is immobilised on the membrane of the test device. In the test procedure, specimens migrate over the membrane. The more analyte present in the sample, the more effectively it will compete with the Chloramphenicol immobilised on the membrane for binding to the limited amount of antibodies of the detector reagent. Chloramphenicol, if present in the specimen above 1ppb, will thus prevent the binding of the detector reagent to the Chloramphenicol immobilised on the membrane, resulting in a positive result.
multi-center test evaluation was conducted comparing the results obtained using the N.K.Biotech Chloramphenicol Residue Rapid Inspection Device to another commercially available ELISA chloramphenicol test. The study included 243 specimens: both assays identified 145 negative and 98 positive results. The results demonstrated 94.7% overall agreement of the N.K.Biotech Chloramphenicol Residue Rapid Inspection Device when compared to the other ELISA Chloramphenicol test.
