Chloramphenicol (CAP) ELISA Test Kit
MaxSignal™ Chloramphenicol (CAP) ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of chloramphenicol in shrimp, fish, meat (chicken, beef and pork), animal feed (e.g. fish meal), eggs, milk, milk powder, honey, urine and serum. Chloramphenicol is a broad spectrum antibiotic which is frequently employed in animal production for its excellent antibacterial and pharmacokinetic properties. However, in humans it leads to hematotoxic side effects. This has led to a prohibition of chloramphenicol for the treatment of animals used for food production. Previously, chloramphenicol-residues are determined either radioimmunologically or gas chromatographically. Alternatively, enzyme immunoassays (ELISA) show considerable advantages over conventional methods. Radioactive materials are no longer required, and the processing time is considerably less than the gas chromatographic method. MaxSignal™ Chloramphenicol (CAP) ELISA Test Kit features a quick ELISA assay (less than 2 hours regardless of number of samples) and rapid extraction methods with high recovery and high reproducibility.
