Re-imagining The Feed Industry
At Alltech we challenge ourselves to listen and learn from the marketplace. Now
we propose that it is the time to think creatively about agriculture 'from the
ground up' - and all the way up the food chain. Costs of production will always
be the heart of the issue, but how is the true cost determined? In what ways are
forces such as genetics, molecular biology, ag education, agronomic shifts, environmental
changes and the consumer market shaping modern agribusiness? It is time to re-imagine
how we do things; and in doing so ask how we can make the best use of what science
and the Information Age offer.
At Alltech´s 20th International Symposium more than 70 presentations will
be given, designed to spark creative interest in the feed & food manufacturing
and associated industries. The Symposium will focus on the concerns of professionals
in the Pig, Dairy, Beef, Equine and Poultry sectors through sessions dedicated
to their sectors. The Symposium will also include sessions concentrating on Aquaculture,
Companion Animal Nutrition, Agronomy and Human Food and Nutrition. A poster session
will be held as well, with researchers across the globe invited to present the
latest results of new studies.
