Santa
Cruz - Bolivia - October 7 -
10, 2003
|
 |
We
have been distinguished by the honor of hosting this event. Today, for
the first time, this long-awaited aspiration has become reality. We believe
that the best way to express our recognition is to offer a quality Congress
to the participants, a number over 2,000, a Congress that generously fulfils
their expectations.
To this end, we are working professionally and responsibly, taking into
account the aspects needed to make this occasion a high-ranking, pleasant
and positive event. The experiences gathered at the preceding Congresses,
that were transmitted graciously and impartially, constitute the lights
that will guide our way in the achievement of this goal

The
Poultry Congresses are the most important meetings in the region for
scientific, technological, and commercial interchange for this field.
Through them, we promote the harmonious growth of poultry production
and, moreover, the producers and businesses of the field offer a concrete
example of integration, respect, understanding and will to contribute
jointly and synergistically to the development and nutrition of our
peoples.
The current circumstances endow these events with particular importance,
since we find ourselves immersed in a process of profound changes
through market liberalization and globalization that definitely mark
new designs for our beautiful and noble activity.

|
Face to face with these changes, today more than ever, the poultry
producers of the region should strengthen the integration of Latin American
in general and particularly of our mother institution A.L.A., in order
to deal with these processes in better conditions, processes that we
will have difficulty avoiding. The future of the Latin American poultry
activity is in our hands. Beginning with this shared vision, it is our
responsibility to influence the direction, speed and depth of the changes
that we want to make in our field. Experience shows that isolated efforts
rarely have the success expected.
