Jakarta has been chosen as the host venue for Indonesia´s 3rd Major International Livestock and Feed Industry Expo & Forum – INDO LIVESTOCK 2006 to be held from 11 - 13 July 2006 at the Jakarta Convention Centre, Jakarta-Indonesia. Over 6.000 delegates and trade visitor comprising veterinarians, feedmillers, farmers, retailers and processors in Indonesia are expected to attend the 3 days of exhibition and forum.

INDO LIVESTOCK 2006 will also host the 3rd Indonesian Livestock Industry Award 2006 which is the industry´s most prestigious award which recognizes the contributions of organizations and individuals in furthering the cause of this sector.
The potential for intensive animal production and processing in Indonesia is immense in view of 2 key factors: one, the huge population which is estimated at 224 million and two, the very low per capital consumption of meat which is one of the lowest in the region.
