Victam International 2007 The Netherlands - 05/08/2007
Booth: 8A056Celsius will present its Egg Shell Dryer at booth 8A056, hall 8.
Due to the changing of European regulations it is not longer possible to use untreated eggshells as fertilizer or dispose them on the garbage dump.
Celsius has therefore developed the Egg Shell Dryer, an equipment kit that reduces the germ level to practically zero hence allowing the end product to be used as fertilizer or animal feed.
The Egg Shell Dryer is part of a continuous industrial process whereby the shells of recently broken eggs are heated and dried.
The basis of the Egg Shell Dryer is a screw heat exchanger that is heated by thermal oil. In addition the installation consists of a pulverizer, a unit to heat the thermal oil and an exhaust system to remove moisture.
The first kit being installed in the beginning of 2006, now six units are in full operation at large egg process companies.
What is new about the product?
The revolutionary concept of having a relatively compact unit, operating on the basis of a screw heat exchanger is entirely new to this market.
Advantage of this product
- energy consumption of the installation is low because of indirect heating.
- you only need a limited amount of surface to install the machine.
- the ESD combines conveying and processing and therefore replaces the existing conveying system.
- the installation is supplied as a complete turn key system.
- the final product fully meets the standards of 1774/2002/EG.
