Dear Alfonso:

I want to take advantage of your question to enlarge the topic a little. The Biodigestores can group in 4 types:

- Dry Fermentador: Alternative to digest anaerobicamente masses of 40 of having been accustomed to
- Flow Piston: Which are advisable to manage levels of the 8 - 13
- It mixes Complete: Characteristic for concentrations of the 6 - 8
- Channel Fluidizado: Especially to manage low concentrations of the order from the 2 to the 6
- RAFA: Ideals to treat concentrations skirting the 1

All these alternatives have their pro and contras, being very simple the handling if the volumes are small, getting complicated tremendously if these they are big (5 m3/dia). Likewise, due to the delicate of the biological system that is a symbiosis of bacterias (acid-metanogenicas), it is required periodic controls to maintain certain parameters in the appropriate range (pH, temp, sulfuros, etc) passing of a manual handling, to another of automated type (some Biodigestores requires controls each 15 min).
Regarding their utility, it should be well in clear if the sense of the Biodigestor is as ENVIRONMENTAL measure or exclusively as generator of Biogas (60 Methane and 40 Dioxide of Carbon). The reason of this explanation goes directly in relation to the design. Usually, the World legislation demands Efluentes with a DBO from 25 to 30 mg/Lt, that which is IMPOSSIBLE to reach exclusively with a system anaerobico, being necessary an AEROBIC stage and its traditional high costs of Operation.
If the Biodigestor is only used as generator of Biogas, Biofertilizante (by-product liquidates of the process) or Biosolido (remainder accustomed to employee in improvement of terrestrial eriazos), then almost one can affirm that sooner or later, the carried out investment will have a positive return. Otherwise (I Design ENVIRONMENTAL), it is almost a certainty that the Plant will always be an EXPENSE.

As for the Design, this it can be as simple as to dedicate a camera sealed to contain the waste among 25 to 30 days, until an Integral Plant for Treatment of Waters, with cameras for capture of fatty, addition of Polymers and cameras of Floculación, etc.

In the event of some doubt, sit down in the freedom of contacting me.

I am interested in having knowledge about the biodigestores for the energy obtaining (gas methane) and natural payment for the development in parallel of the agriculture and the cattle raising at semi-industrial level, needing to know about their infrastructure and their production capacity to be applied in area north coast of the Peru in an area from 100 to 200 hectares.

Good, thank you sr. Herrera for their disinterested support, although it is always necessary to keep in mind the waste type that will use in the digestores. It is necessary to consider that some waste can accumulate elements that could affect the acting of these seriously. A common element is the sulfur that can inhibit the process in moderate concentrations or in any event to elevate the generation of I sulfurate of hydrogen (sour Sulfhidrico) which can eat away the interiors of the digestores seriously (when they are built with cement or brick). The ideal thing to design a digestor correctly, is to take into account these details, as well as the environmental temperature to consider the topic of the heating in the system and other factors that mark the difference among a silo with exit for gases of a digestor. Another important consideration comes for the sanitary side, especially when the topic of the efuentes can arrive to a source of water (superficial or subterrranea). In short, in the event of being required a digestor with these considerations, please put on in private in contact.

it was delayed a little but here some planes of biodigestores of the most common systems are, I hope they are they of great utility. It is more complete than that that sent to some to the mail.

It is a book that I publish The ICA, Author Jairo Chaur Bernal, I Title The Biogas

Here the images of the book are, it is alone to copy the address and to hit it in the bar of addresses of the scanner:

Good day friends. I am obtaining about 1000 kilos of shell of green banana a day. I am in the city and I don't have a lot where to choose for you use it like payment. At the same time I use gas propane to heat a stove where I submerge the banana so that it is easier to peel it. It will be a good alternative the use of a biodigestor, and of what type it would be the advisable one.
Thank you search their comments.

as well as you were looking for biodigestores planes, to me today he/she played me to make it. That is to say, I am also looking for planes of biodigestores construction. For sure you have gotten it, you can share it with me. Likewise I can share some informations regarding the production of biogas, bio and biosol.
Sincerely.

Without spirit of being repetitive, each case is very different in the digestores topic. Although the facilities can be SIMILAR, situations that are worthwhile to be taken into account exist.
The first and more important is the TEMPERATURE of the environment. Depending on this, we will be able to predict the behavior and the quality of the Gas (to smaller temperature + Methane and - CO2 but smaller total production), ending up in some cases to paralyze the process (in China, the conventional digestores only works in the Spring, Summer and it leaves of the Autumn), for what an internal heating system should be included. Due to the aggressive of the means, this system should keep in mind the corrosion and the differences that exist in the topic of transmission of heat (besides the type of fuel to use for the design of the muffle or burner).
Another point to consider (and basically to the outburst) it is the organic matter to use, as well as the necessity in certain cases of seed the time of beginning of the Plant that can arrive up to 60 days in some case to diminish.
In the Peru several intents have existed to diffuse the use of this technology, but most of these has failed or they have not completed the expectations, due mainly to this type of errors of Design. I encourage them to only not to look for an answer, but (and for the good of the investment that you/they could carry out) to know a little more than the process.
Again, I am to serve them.

For Mr. Herrera of the valley Colombia:

A hectare is enough... what has to keep in mind is how many animals and what production class he/she will have... a basic note can help him... Very important, as the extension it is not very big, keep in mind to the NEIGHBOR... it can be their first problem... how many animals he/she will have... he/she will buy the concentrate... what products and by-products will have in the region, etc etc... if it is for business or if he/she wants to take out for their own delight and benefit... if it will be industrial, he/she has to keep in mind that he/she has to manage GREAT quantity because an employee also takes care him a pig, more or less as he would take care him 50...

Greetings.
I have a very specific question, I hope somebody of the forum can help me.
For the design of the biodigestor, is it necessary to know the time of retention of the manure in the digestor (THR), since he/she does go bound directly to the volume of the same one and in turn to the production of the biogas?
I wait they can lean on y/o to indicate me where I can look for this information.
Ahead of time thank you.

For suspuesto! The time of Retention Hidraúlico (TRH) it is the main variable to determine the total volume of Biogas that is generated daily. At bigger time, bigger specific production. In general, a minimum is allowed from 25 to 30 days, although in other digestores with lightly low temperatures, he/she is prolonged up to 60 days (but he/she forces to dimensionar the digestor to a bigger scale, and this affects directly to the initial Investment).
The ideal thing is to maintain a balance among these factors (Investment / Production), and the efficiency of the process is what determines this ratio.
Any consultation, don't doubt to write.

good afternoon to all. I am Guatemalan Industrial Engineer, and I am interested in the planes of the biodigestor, since I administer a factory where we use gas l.p. as energy source, but he/she wanted to be able to build this system to reduce my costs. I have the possibility to obtain the matter it prevails necessary to toss to walk the same one.
If somebody could lean on with the planes, he/she would thank it to him a lot.

Dear Mr. Montenegro: a biodigestor is built by several reasons: to generate energy, to produce biol for the improvement of the floors, to protect the environment of the contamination.
To build a biodigestor he/she leaves of the volume of you excrete that they produce the animals or of the necessity of the required energy, fearing in bill of the quantity of the dry organic substance contained in it excretes it, not all you excrete them of the animals dry organic substances that have the same power of generation of biogas take place.
Three different technological states also exist in the generation of the biogas, and it is referred basically to the temperature with which the fermentation takes place, being able to vary this fermentation between 120 days and 15.
Biodigestores systems are so many as companies that manufacture them, but from the technical point of view the humid fermentation exists that is the one that at the moment is used, and the dry one that promises a lot, but it is in stage of tests. If you want to build a biodigestor, converse with me that I have built the biggest biodigestores and of tip technology that has the Peru.
June 15 will give a conference it has more than enough generation of biogas in the auditory of the Senati
of 6 to 9 pm, it is you cordially invited. The event is free, but he/she should register with the Engineer Carlos Medina Senati. I request him that he/she invites their colleagues.
Sincerely,

Pablo Infants

Engineer Christian Rodriguez,
He/she wanted to make him a consultation. To the present time I have 3 projects for the treatment of residuals of distindos origins. 1) 35-40TN/día of residuals of parks and gardens (prunings of overgrowths and trees), as well as of typical domiciliary waste. 2) 25TN/día of camal residuals or slaughterhouse (organs). 3) 10Tn/día of residuals of a plant pota procesadora or giant squid (organs). I was reading on the technology of the biodigestores, and they really interest a lot me. God willing I could guide with regard to that if this technology (biodigestor industrial contínuo) it can treat these residuals. Of being possible I wanted to communicate personally with you.
Ahead of time, I thank their answer.

Good Mister Sanchez, I thank their interest! The organic residuals of parks, due to their lignina content and cellulose, are of slow degradation, for what the times of retention rise beyond the practical level. It is the possibility to establish a mechanical system of composteo, although it is a great investment.
For the other side, camal waste or of plant procesadora of products hidrobiológicos, they are easily degradables, generating ENORMOUS quantities of Biogas. The topic is not only the production of the biogas, but the technological capacity that supports that production. A conventional digestor, with 25 days of retention, represents impossible volumes. It is for it that you/they are also had alternative industrial, much more efficient and more predictable, which don't only produce biogas and liquid fertilizer, but they constitute part of a system of control of Efluentes, reducing the levels of DQO and DBO until a range of easy polish for systems Aeróbicos. For any additional consultation, it can contact me directly to my personal data.

Mr. Castle:
Their question gives cause to an interesting analysis. The biogas is basically Methane. The gas that more he/she is likened it is the Natural Gas. Very similarly to this, the great difficulty exists of compressing this gas to have practical volumes with the purpose of storage. This situation, makes that a tank of GN (or Methane) 600 PSI of pressure requires to be liquefied, in front of the 90 psi of the GLP. As it is obvious, the tank for methane requires a much more robust consistency that one of GLP, and for ende, bigger cost. That is the main deficiency in the use of the Biogas. It is for it that a project of Biogas should include conduction pipe for its final use, preferably in a team of use contínuo. Boilers, motors, stars and until simply burning they should be alternated to assure the correct use of the gas. On the other hand, and seeing it as an investment project, it is interesting to make notice that the possibility exists of certifying a green voucher, which represents another entrance source (besides the energy value) of a project of Biogas. It is necessary to remember that the GLP has an equivalent one energy of aprox. 25 Kw-h, in front of the 5.96 kw-h of the biogas. However, in the projects that I come analyzing, 1 gln of GLP has a cost aprox 1.40 US $, while its equivalent one in Biogas has a value of 0.28 US $.
As he/she will see, a project is this way extremely attractive, provided it is fulfilled the previous considerations.
In the event of requiring to enlarge this information, write me directly, and he/she could give him more details in this respect.
