dead Pigs

I am iniciante in Pig Industry and at the moment work with hybrid Duroc and Landrace. My consultation is the following one: Some days ago, of a litter of 14 pigs, 2 were only born alive and the mummified rest. Please, if somebody can inform me on the causes and if they are sequels in the reproductoras. The feeding that I give them is based on soya, corn, saved of wheat and rice and medic.

Hello, Freddy. Before anything, is good to know on the calendar of vaccination of the females before it mounts it, since here in Sound, Mexico, to the female before loading it vaccinates them to him 2 and up to 3 times with the triple (parvo-lepto and erisipela), they are given an acclimatization and quarantine, for if they are positive to PRRS, and like they are feeding with corn, it would be good that you checked aflatoxinas.

Hello, Fernando and José. Before anything, thank you for their advice that served me of a lot. The truth is that I vaccinated against Parvo and PRRS in preventive form, but as the problem it was in the isolated area of quarantine, I opted to sacrifice the animals with problems, including the sire that I believe that it was the causing of the problem. The rest up to now goes well, and God willing it continues this way.

The problem that mentions of the mummified dead pigs, mostly is presented by the feeding in the gestation stage, in which is recommended to provide a quantity according to the weight of the animal (example: a sow of 150 kg should consume 3% of her weight, and the most delicate stage in its gestation is among the first 21 days of its gestation). Please, I want him to help me. In my farm of swinish have two big problems. One of the problems that present the pigs is the crack of hooves and abcesos in the whole body, for this reason I am made difficult to have an appropriate handling. Will it be for the water or for the food? The portion is with the help of corn, soya, triguillo and saved of wheat, and the water that you/they consume he/she comes direct of the natural slopes.
