Greetings to all
I would like if somebody can give me their opinion on the suiguiente I have some female daughters of mothers f1 and-l and of father pic 406 that I want to leave for breeding the question es,con that terminal male could cover if I have the following ones: 1=duroc cigar 2=pietren-duroc 3=pietren cigar and 4=york-largewhite if what I look for is better breedings for meat.
He/she also wanted to know which gives me better results to cross them with female f1 of the terminal males that he/she mentions previously york-landrace that in fact are those that we have or with a male terminal pic 406 or 419. And for I finish of a female pure york crossing it with a male pure duroc it could take out good f1 for reproduction

Hello Carlos,
He/she looks if you have female F1, I suppose York-lan me the crusaria with the male pure duroc or with the male duroc-pietrain, and if you want to leave substitutions of the male PIC this serious a risk to future because genetically these sows are dedicated for the one it puts on weight and it doesn't stop the breeding, serious better if you have female f1 you cross them with a male pure york or a pure landrace to take out the f2 that in my experience this behaving but resistant that the f1.
luck.

Hello, thanks to all to share their s knowledge and experiences.
I am to begin in this world of upbringing of pigs that I find very interesting. Is my question, if I want to begin with 10 females, is it but convenient that sen Yorkshire and is the male a duroc? according to what I have read I have reached that conclusion, the yorkshire is good milkmaids and the duroc he/she helps to that has a quick growth and that it is meager.
Am I in the certain thing? please correct me, demen suggestions.
Important, the climate where I will begin the upbringing it is tempered (area center of Guatemala)

On the other hand which the approximate cost of a female Yorkshire is and of a male duroc, in quetzales or in dollars?

Thank you,
Winston Garcia

I continue Them recommending not to buy to make genetic. What you say is good but they would be producing a sow with maternal ability, but and the pigs that nacveran and you sent to the rake they will have mother's characteristics and I don't eat producing of concluded pig. With that number you cannot find a good selection.
I recommend you to buy foot of breeding with a high genetic value for hibridismo, obtaining the best results in each race. you can yourself remplazar with the breedings but alone you give him 2 or 3 childbirths and sell them, this is to produce a waste sale and he/she can help you to buy foot of breeding.
Greetings.

Thank you Javier.
I will continue attentive for if somebody but he/she wants to offer their opinion, this way finally to decide what I should make when arriving in Guatemala that will be next month. I think that the land that I have is adapted, the idea is to begin with ten females to acquire experiences and then to have a hundred females in total.
All their comments and suggestions will be well received.
Thank you,
Winston Garcia

Hello to all. You that you/they are very professional in the topic, but since habemos many interested in this exploitation, I intend that more exact data can be given on the different types of crossings with virtues and defects, besides the feeding type taken on general parameters and the conditions of the confinement.

Thank you.
