bivalent antiinflammatory combination
FORMULA: Fenilbutazone 20 g,
dexamethazone 25 mg, excipients q.s. ad 100 mL
INDICATIONS:Antiinflammatory,
antiarthritic, antipiretic and analgesic combination. The action of a non-steroid
and a corticoid drug produces an antiinflammatory effect through two mechanisms.
Treatment of primary affections of the locomotor apparatus. Coadjuvant
to antibiotherapy treatment of infectious arthritis. It is also indicated
in inflammatory processes that are common to osteopathies, adenopathies,
pneumopathies, mastitis, etc., where it combats the congestive process
and painful symptoms that come along.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Adult
bovines and equines: 30 mL for 2 days and then 10 mL/day during 4-6 days
(the dose must be reduced to a half in young animals). Ovines, camelids and
caprines: 5 mL/animal during 3 days. Porcines, depending on the size and
affection: 5 mL - 20 mL for 3-5 days. Company animals: 1 mL/15 kg body weight
per day, during 5 days.
