DESCRIPTION

Calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and vitamin D in injectable solution.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES

BIOCAL is an injectable solution that contains calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and vitamin D.

Calcium is a micro-mineral vital in the constitution of the skeleton and also has an essential biochemical function as a component in the enzyme transmission of nervous impulses and muscular contractions.

Phosphorus also contributes to the constitution of the skeleton and it also has an important biochemical function as a component of phospholipids, nucleic acids and proteins.

Magnesium has mainly three activities: it is involved in the metabolism of the bones, it improves calcium absorption and last but not least it helps to regulate the arterial pressure.

Vitamin D intervenes in the process of absorption, fixation and mobilisation of calcium in the bones.

SPECIES & INDICATIONS

It is used in pigs, sheep, goats and cattle with the following indications:

Lactating females: vitulary fever, puerperal eclampsia.
Young animals: hypocalcaemia, rachitism and osteomalacia.
As treatment for intoxications and allergic reactions.
