The point of lay depend on the attained weight of the hen. Most hen starta laying at 2kg b.w. and I fate to be able to maintain the production of eggs the b.w. must not, perharps this may be a reason for extra hour of lighting to eat to be able to produce. More work needed to be done on the effect of light when feeds are not available.
