Agrastim
BIOAGRA of Hinesville, GA manufactures AGRASTIM®, the highest quality, most ”Biologically Active” source of purified Beta-(1-3)/(1-6)-D-Glucan available for use in animal feed, aquaculture, and pet foods.
AGRASTIM® is the only source of purified Beta-(1-3)-(1-6)-D Glucan, proven to be consistently “Biologically Active.” Reduced ”Biological Activity” will lead to reduced immune response. AGRASTIM® is research proven as an effective alternative to growth promoting antibiotics.
AGRASTIM® is a yeast Beta glucan product derived and purified from spent bakers’ or brewers’ yeast. This feed additive alleviates the need to use growth promotion antibiotics in the feed of the livestock, swine, poultry, aquaculture, Equine, and dairy cows. AGRASTIM® has very high biological activity and is the only safe and effective compound that can strengthen the immune system of farmed animals when added to their feed.
When AGRASTIM® is fed to farmed animals, it has been shown to:

Dairy Cattle - AGRASTIM® has been shown to reduce “somatic cell count”, the indicator of infection that results in decreased milk production.
Beef and pigs - AGRASTIM® increases the number and survivability of live births and increases feed conversion.
Fish and shellfish - AGRASTIM® increases disease resistance and feed conversion.
Horses - AGRASTIM® has been shown to improve stamina and increase vaccine conversion.
